Why People Don’t Make Money In MLM

If you’ve spent any time searching the Internet for information on Network Marketing or MLM, you’ve undoubtedly seen the claims:  “Make Big Money”, “Fire Your Boss”, and “Financial and Personal Freedom Can Be Yours!”.  In reality, most people struggle to make money in MLM and the reasons are clear.

In fact, if you’re struggling to make money in your MLM  business, ask yourself these 2 simple questions:

1.  Are you truly passionate about your Company’s Products?

I’ve counseled many MLM marketers over the past few years, and I’m amazed at the number of people who simply joined the wrong MLM company.  And there’s a reason for that.   Most people have their focus on the wrong thing when researching a company.

That’s right!  Most people who start an MLM business do so because they are looking to make money.  There’s nothing wrong with that.  But when one gets swayed by promises of the “ultimate compensation plan,”  they lose sight on one major consideration.

The products they’ll be selling.

Regardless of what anyone tells you, you WILL be selling in MLM.  While it’s true that many people will join your business because of your leadership and knowledge, your passion for the products you are selling play a major role in your success.

If you are not truly passionate about the products you are representing, this will reflect in your voice, your posture, and your presentations.  So, if you’re not making much (or any) money in your MLM business, ask yourself,

“Am I Passionate About My Products?”

If the answer is NO, then you should consider finding a company whose products you believe in 100%.

2.  Are you committed to your success?

Everyone wants to be successful and everyone wants to make money in MLM.  But, as it turns out very few are willing to do what it takes to realize that success.

What about you?

  • Do you give your business a top priority in your life and are you willing to give up today’s pleasures for tomorrow’s successes?
  • Are you willing to put in the time necessary to master the skill set needed to be successful in your business?
  • Do you understand that success is a PROCESS and not a single event?  Are you willing to weather the ups and downs that comes with running a business, and will you work to overcome the inevitable obstacles that get in the way of your success?

Unless you can answer YES to these questions, than it’s likely that you aren’t committed enough to succeeding in your MLM business at this time.

In this case, you must look within yourself to find that commitment.  YOU must decide if you’re willing to do what it takes to make life-changing income in your MLM business.

Those guys who make $50-100K per month in their business?  They do so because they have that level of commitment, and they’ve paid the price early on in the process to reap the benefits later.

In other words, they’ve paid their dues.
